Proprietor Anthony von Mandl and Winemaker John Simes cultivate our twenty-four vineyard estates throughout the Valley’s five growing regions. Simes employs a combination of science and intuition in selecting grape varietals best suited to the Valley’s diverse microclimates. Investments in technology, irrigation systems, frost protection and weather stations, along with extensive canopy management, encourages the production of exquisite fruit. |
Experience the wines for yourself at home
The Legacy Series, Oculus, Quatrain and Perpetua, are the culmination of 25 years of crafting fine wine. Rare and limited they receive careful handling at every stage of grape cultivation, harvest and winemaking. The grapes are chosen from select blocks and rows within our estates. They are hand harvested and hand sorted and then gravity fed to small fermentation vessels and barrel aged in tiny lots to allow for ultimate selectivity. These boutique wines are crafted in small lots under 1,000 cases each. Oculus and Quatrain should be decanted prior to serving, and Perpetua is best enjoyed no colder than 12°C. Meticulously selected, the SLC wines are also made from 100% winery owned vineyard estate fruit, are age-worthy and balanced with layers of complexity, which will develop with further cellaring. The Reserve tier wines are similarly sourced from our own estates, and are elegant wines, crafted for enjoyment upon release though are also suitable for aging. |
Requirements
Minimum orders are per case. Please be advised that the Legacy Series, SLC Series, and Icewines comprise six bottles per case. A case of the Reserve Series contains a dozen bottles.
Prices include taxes. Shipping and a .20¢ LCBO bottle deposit are extra. Costs for shipping are $30 within the GTA and $45 for the rest of Ontario. Due to LCBO restrictions on inter-provincial wine shipments, delivery time will be on average 6-11 weeks after your order is placed. We apologize for the long lead time. Please be advised, we are also unable to accept cancellations after your order is placed.

2005 Oculus
The 2005 vintage was low-yielding, producing fruit with exceptional concentration. This has enabled us to craft a truly classic wine with layers of opulent fruit, velvety mouthfeel, silky tannins, and impressive length. The wine begins with gorgeous aromas of blackberry, cherry and mineral. These notes build on the palate with toasty spice and a dusting of chocolate and earthiness, adding textural depth and complexity. The wine is full-bodied, with ultra-fine tannins and a long, seamless finish.

2006 Perpetua
The pinnacle of white wine viticulture and winemaking at Mission Hill Family Estate
Three distinct chardonnay clones comprise our single vineyard wine. After crushing and skin contact, the free run wine is set aside. A carefully selected portion is barrel fermented in new French oak, aged for 7.5 months sur lies, and stirred by hand every two weeks.
This sophisticated Chardonnay opens with a subtle bouquet of pear, lime and hazelnut. These notes mingle on the palate with hints of citrus, minerality and lush nectarine. The flavour is focused on the wine's full-bodied frame and lingers with a touch of soft oak and round silkiness.

2005 Quatrain
A QUATRAIN is a poem or stanza that is always composed of four lines.
This wine offers a vivid core of ripe berry fruit shaded by dusty mocha and gamey licorice notes. The texture is pure South Okanagan; rich and supple with some chalky tannins. The flavours pick up momentum and fan out in the finish, revealing extra dimension and depth. A delicious, plummy red wine with a hint of chocolate.

2006 SLC Chardonnay
A stylish wine with refinement and plenty of flavour. Rich and mouth filling, there is a core of pear, lime and roasted hazelnut flavours, all in a very elegant profile, finishing with just enough lively acidity to keep it in beautiful balance.

2004 SLC Merlot
Soft and inviting with a bouquet of cherry compote and spicy plum. The palate shows concentrated berry fruit amid flavours of fig, vanilla and bittersweet chocolate. Soft, smooth tannins provide for a silky texture that leads to an elegant and satisfying finish.

2004 SLC Syrah
Deep burgundy colour with layers of fleshy plum, blackberry and chocolate fudge on the nose. Dry and well structured, this wine erupts with ripe tannins, intense dark fruit and white pepper on the palate.

The 2006 vintage is a generous and expressive wine with a vivid bouquet of lime, tangerine and pineapple. Similar notes on the palate are enhanced with the subtle influence of new French oak. Elegant, with an extra layer of richnss on the fresh and persistent finish.
